What is 311?

The 311 Customer Service Center offers a single convenient point of contact for easier access to Chattanooga city programs. 311 offers four options for service: telephone, internet, in person and recently an application called Chatt311.
 
Chatt311 is the fastest and most convenient way to report your matters or requests related to the City of Chattanooga.

What are the services offered?
311 was established in 2003 as a way to distribute citizens' applications for City Hall. You can request services or report problems in the following categories:

  • Floods and water quality

  • living place

  • Land development

  • Zoning

  • illegal garbage waste

  • Roads and sidewalks

  • Drainage and toxic waste

  • Lights and traffic signs

  • Fallen trees and bushes

  • Graffiti

  • Potholes

  • Abandoned vehicles

  • Collection of dead animals

 

Another component allows them to make complaints against contractors employed by the city, or report to a city vehicle driver.

Chatt311 also gives you access to the catalog of the Public Library. Users can also pay drainage fees, property taxes and parking violations through the application.

What is the difference between 311 and 911?

311 is the number to obtain information and access to all government services of the City of Chattanooga, without urgency. You must dial 911 in case of emergency (fire, theft, or a crime in progress).
